The primary school of Mesimeri founded in 1952. It’s a very small public village school with only 37 pupils, with 4 -12 year old students, 5 primary, 2 nursery school teachers and 4 teachers for the all day school, for children with learning difficulties, P.E lessons and English language. It’s situated at the small village of Mesimeri, 2km from Edessa, a beautiful and historical town with waterfalls and 20.000 inhabitants. Till 2004 the school had been housed in an old building, which is situated at the school yard and after a renovation it’s housing the Cultural Association of Mesimeri and exhibits items of the village history and tradition. The new building was founded in 2000. It‘s a two floor building. At the ground floor there are 4 classrooms for the primary school, 1 classroom for the nursery school and 1 classroom for the whole day school with the library, the headmaster’s, the teacher’s office and the lunch room. The second floor has the same number of rooms and is being used from the cultural association. The P.E room is also at the 2nd floor. Το Δημοτικό σχολείο Μεσημερίου ιδρ[υθηκε το 1952. Είναι ένα μικρό σχολείο σε χωριό με μόνο 37 μαθητές ηλικίας 6 - 12 ετών. Φιλοξενεί και το Νηπιαγωγείο με 9 μαθητές ηλικίας 4 - 6 ετών. Έχει 5 εκπαιδευτικούς για τις τάξεις, 1 δασκάλα ειδικής αγωγής, 1 καθηγήτρια αγγλικών και 1 γυμνάστρια. επίσης λειτουργεί και ολοήμερο σχολείο με 1 δασκάλα. το Μεσημέρι είναι ένα μικρό χωριό μόλις 2 χμ. από την Έδεσσα, μια πανέμορφη και ιστορική πόλη με τους φυμισμένους καταρράκτες και 20.000 κατοίκους. Έως το 2004 το σχολείο στεγαζόταν στο παλιό κτίριο, το οποίο βρίσκεται στο σημερινό πραύλιο και μετά από επιδιορθώσεις στεγάζει σήμερα πια τον Πολιτιστικό σύλλογο Μεσιμερίου "Αριστοτέλης" με αίθουσα μουσείου και πολλά ιστορικά εκθέματα του χωριού. Το καινούργιο κτίριο που φτιάχτηκε το 2000 είναι ένα διόρωφο κτίσμα. Στο εισόγειο υπάρχει το γραφείο του Διευθυντή και των δασκάλων, 4 αίθουσες διδασκαλίας, η αίθουσα του ολοήμερου, η τραπεζαρία του ολοήμερου, η βιβλιοθήκη του σχολείου και το νηπιαγωγείο. Στον πρώτο όροφο έχει 6 αίθουσες διδασκαλίας που χρησιμοποιούνται για διάφορες δράσεις του Συλλόγου δασκάλων της Έδεσσας, του Συλλόγου γονέων Μεσημερίου και του Πολιτιστικού συλλόγου. το σχολείο μας έχει πραγματοποιήσει την περίοδο 2008 - 2010 ένα ακόμα πρόγραμμα Comenius με θέμα “Bridge over waters far away – Culture, Art, Tradition, Education – So different but also so the same” http://comenius-mesimeri.blogspot.gr/
